#2 Character Sets in GEDCOM

How does GenX handle which character set is used for the gedcom
files it creates? In working with another Program (GenJ, http://
genj.sourceforge.net) I noticed that there are several problems
with the German Umlaute (such as ä, ö, ü). So I saved my file in
UNICODE (Utf-8) format in GenJ but GenX only displayed weird
characters instead of Umlaute when I opened this file with it. The
header of my gedcom file is this:
1 GEDC
2 VERS 5.5
2 FORM Lineage-Linked
1 CHAR UNICODE
