I would like to see "response to oxygen-glucose deprivation" added to the GO ontology under the parent terms “response to decreased oxygen levels” (GO:0036293) and “response to nutrient levels” (GO:0031667). The definition could be "Any process that results in a change in state or activity of a cell or an organism (in terms of movement, secretion, enzyme production, gene expression, etc.) as a result of the absence of oxygen and glucose. An example can be found in PMID: 21525936. A synonym would be "response to OGD". The corresponding “cellular response” term is also suggested. Thanks.

Hi Stan,

Should it be '...absence of oxygen and glucose" or '...deprivation of oxygen and glucose from the cell (or organism's) environment'? It seems that the cells are exposed to both OG and then these two components are removed.
