Hi,
I'd like to request a new child term of regulation of biological quality:
GO:0065008 regulation of biological quality
is_a GO:new regulation of membrane permeability
is_a GO:0097213 regulation of lysosomal membrane permeability
is_a GO:0046902 regulation of mitochondrial membrane permability
I'd like to use this term to describe the activity of pore-forming molecules that alter membrane permeability.
The old MF term of pore-forming toxin activity is now obsolete, so I'm trying to describe, on a more molecular level, how some pore-forming molecules with antibacterial activity actually function. I'm not sure that there's an existing MF term that can be used to describe this type of activity.
Also, I had looked at TermGenie to see if there was a possible template for this kind of term (regulation + PATO term + GO CC term) but didn't see one - let me know if I missed it.
Here is the paper I'm trying to annotate:

Thanks,
--Kimberly
