mapping to
nuclear-transcribed mRNA catabolic process, nonsense-mediated decay SP_KW:KW-0866
looks too specific

After communicating with SGD curators we think this mapping may be too specific

From Rob Nash:
In this review, PMID:17245413 (cited above as [39]), in figure 1, it seems that they are placing XRN1 in several pathways as the downstream 5' - 3' exonuclease including:
nuclear-transcribed mRNA catabolic process, deadenylation-dependent decay (GO:0000288)
nuclear-transcribed mRNA catabolic process, deadenylation-independent decay (GO:0031086)
nuclear-transcribed mRNA catabolic process, endonucleolytic cleavage-dependent decay (GO:0000294)

Thanks

Both of these proteins now have manual annotations to this term. The yeast is IMP and the pombe is ISO.

    Is this now a non-issue?

I'll check with SGD on this one as this is a change from what we originally said.

I think the mapping is fine.
