As I am new to here I wanted to say I like the geek.menu way more than the original PortableApps. I just installed the newest version & noticed that the taskbar icon was no longer showing it shows a paper icon why is this. Then again it is better that the previous versions I kept getting an error can't create shell notification icon so at least that has stopped. I use 1 of my flash drive for all my programs & this is the best menu I have found so far but wondering if there is away to incorporate a way to install U3 Apps also.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Turn off "keep tray icon to the left" and see if that keeps the icon visible- the paper icon has nothing to do with geek.menu (far as I know)- what does it do if you hover over it or click on it?
Not sure about the automating the U3 thing, but a U3 app should _work_ as a portable app (won't properly track in backups etc, coz the directory structure will be wrong)- IIRC the .u3p is just a renamed zip that you could extract into your menu.
