This is is a piece of software I looked for since long, well done! Glad I found it...

But I have a major problem:
Geek.menu is not able to exit (not via context menu, and not via "x" button). When I click it nothing happens, but after it Geek.menu reacts very slow or totally not. CPU is zero, recourses remain stable. Only a kill by task manager helps.
This problem only exists for me with version 1.2.0.0 and above (so I use 1.0.0.1 right now).
It has been reported before by someone else in the portableapps forums: http://portableapps.com/node/13595

I would like to be able to use the newest versions, so hopefully this can be solved...

    What can it be?

I am having a similiar problem with the latest experimental version (1.3.2.0). When I exit, the app starts again, and when I try to unlock the USB-stick (with Unlocker) I seem to have multiple intances of geek.menu running.I do not have the same problem with the stable version (1.2.5.2)

I too like geek.menu too much to dump it, but I had the same problems with eject/exit.  I am running XP Pro SP3.  I found this freeware program called USB Eject here:  http://www.pocketappreview.com/main/item/17 .  I just changed the app label so it shows at the top of the GM menu, and it works well for me.  Not sure about Vista.

I use «USB eject», too. It seems to work fine, but sometimes I think it takes too long to do the job.

But geek.menu is more magic than you think: Go to Options | Advanced options and choose «Ejection». Enter an Eject command (like «$hostdrive$:\portableapps\ejectusb\ejectusb.exe» or wherever you have put ejectusb.exe).

The next time you start geek.menu: Voilà - you have an eject button! Click it, and you run ejectusb!

Thanks for the USB eject tip, it works like a charm. However via the standard eject button of Geek.menu it doesn't work always. I use a normal shortcut in geek.menu.
I like geek.menu, however I'm dissapointed about the many problems I encounter. (Like the owner info message I posted about in this forum) and more.
I hope things get solved soon, and it will get less buggy.

Sorry, haven't had time to focus on this till now.

Can someone seeing this issue on a regular basis post their geek.menu.ini to the forum?  Also, details such as do you see this even after starting then immediately exiting or is some action required would be helpful.

I've seen this myself, but can't reproduce it on demand at the moment.

      Thanks!

I have reverted to version 1.3.2.0 to see if I can reproduce the problem - but now it works like a charm.
      Sorry!

(I am not really sorry that the program works. That is excellent! I am only a bit sorry that I can't help find what is wrong.)

I _think_ this has been resolved with 1.3.3.0.  If anyone having the problems sees it with 1.3.3.0 or higher, please let me know.
