1.1.1.0 has a very nice new feature, which I suspect geek.menu users will find very useful. The Windows "Places Bar" is that goofy list of five icons to the left of save and open dialog boxes in Windows Applications.
geek.menu lets you substitute the default locations with more useful ones while the menu is running (for example the geek.menu documents directory, wherever that may be).

Worked okay with documents, pictures and videos as well as My Computer when saving from an application launched from the drive (maybe that was your intent?). Didn't worked when I launched word on the host computer. Also, the host drive button doesn't appear or work in open office.

Only works in applications that use the places bar- Word has it's own separate places bar, so it won't work there. OO does use the places bar, so I'll have to see if I can replicate the issue you're seeing with the host drive.
