GECKO is a Generic Experiment Control Kit and Online analysis framework.

It is fully object-oriented C++-Code and is driven by a completely multi-threaded approach.

The graphical user interface allows easy configuration of the experiment hardware, which is to be read out, and the completely modular online analysis plugins.

The plugins allow such simple processes as digital ADC, QDC and TDC, or complex coincidence setups and the application of advanced digital algorithms.

Currently GECKO supports a range of different VME hardware modules (both analog and digital), but it will soon be extended to other kinds of hardware, like serial and CANbus devices.
