#637 Search in a document - geany version 1.22

Right now in order to search a document from the first line,
I do:

then I start the find widget to find a substring

As far as I know, there is no other way to find something.

I would like to have the ability to "assume" that the cursor position starts at line 1,
so that I can find the FIRST MATCH directly, from the top to bottom.

Right now this functionality does not exist as far as I know.

There exists "find all in document" but you must press on a button to find the next match.
This is too cumbersome and slow for my use case when I know that I need the first
match directly from top line down.

The toolbar find widget always starts from the top of the document

The toolbar does not start at the top, it starts at the current cursor.

Since the "find all in document" puts a list of the locations it found in the message window, you can click on the first of those to go to the first occurrence, or you can bind a key to "next message" and "previous message" to navigate them by keys, which will start at the first.

This gives you what you want.
