Highlight of the selection
for example, if I select "hello", the other "hello" in this document should
be highlight
GeanyHighlightSelectedWord works instantly just by selecting the text.
You don't have to press any shortcut or click through the menus. Just select the text and other appearances of the selection will be highlighted.
It also works independently from how you select the text.
E.g. selecting the text with your mouse by clicking-and-polling the cursor over it, selecting the text by double-clicking it or selecting the text with the keyboard (shift- and arrow-keys).
Other editors and ide's like Kate, Kwrite and Eclipse offer this feature too. I think a lot of people probably like it.

Well the thing to do is to alert the plugin maintainer that its no
longer working or send them a patch so they can update it to the
latest Geany.
If they or someone submits the plugin setup to work with the official
Geany plugins build systems then it can be included, but thats really
up to the maintainer of the plugin.
Similarly if you want it added to Geany itself the best thing to do is
to provide a pull request with the changes needed.

You can try the Addon plugin's "Mark Word":
http://plugins.geany.org/addons.html#mark-word
This used to solve this issue until 1.24.1.
https://sourceforge.net/p/geanyhighlightselectedword/
Unfortunately it stopped working after that. Currently running 1.25 (git version 826f6516d36ec7a7bed35116fda32d42449c1e5d 2015-05-15).
Still like to see this implemented into Geany or as official plugin.
Whats the difference between this and menu->search->more->mark all or
menu->search->find->mark?

I'm discussing that with the author.
