    Hi,
Just in case you weren't aware, you can assign those filetype extensions yourself in filetype_extensions.conf as described in the manual.

Personally I'm not sure whether to add these by default, because they are distro-specific.

Well... you can read .debdiff and .dpatch on other distros too. This is not really distro-specific IMHO and I'd include them. But I can't make the decision for the geany team ;)

I also don't want to include them. These extensions are specific to Debian (and its derivates).
The same request already came up by Gentoo users who wanted to add .ebuild and another one.
If we do so, Fedora guys will come and those of other distributions.
Just add the both extensions to your filetype_extensions.conf and you are done.
And either for the Debian package or the Ubuntu package of Geany there is a patch included which adds these extensions already.
