I don't suppose you had the dialog on an external/2nd monitor and then unplugged the monitor? IIRC this happens (if it wasn't fixed yet) because Windows doesn't properly detect the missing monitor or something. If you poke around in something like `C:/Users/You/Application Data/?/Geany/geany.conf` (sorry no windows to test ATM), you should find the place where it stores the location to put the dialog, `position_find_x` and `position_find_y` or similar to this.

    you are right.
Find dialog position has entries in conf file.
    XP directory
    ~\Application Data\geany\geany.conf

Due to change of external monitor change, Geany was opening the dialog out of range.
I hv edited the conf file. Now it is OK.

It's a valid bug, IMO. Whether Windows is brain damaged or not isn't so much the issue, Geany should *never* open windows off-screen. Really, it should not even be placing windows at all, that is the job of the window manager, but at the least it should check to make sure where it places the window is actually visible.
