Under Windows (Vista) it is possible to install Geany to a local user-managed directory. However, while doing so, it automatically creates a desktop icon which can only be (re)moved by the system administrator. Further, Geany cannot now be properly uninstalled by a normal user even if it is installed in a users home directory. Either it should not be possible to install Geany without admin privileges or ordinary user should be able to fully manage a user-based installation.
Geany 0.19.1, Windows Vista SP1
