#536 Geany erases filecontent upon saving

General (289)

Following situation.
Fedora 11 got upgraded to Fedora 13.
Upgrading failed.
Fresh install from disk.
Fedora 13 installed.
Home-Directory saved and assigned to new user.
Geany installed.
Using Gnomes feature to mount distant fs over ssh in local filesystem.
opening remote file within the mount using gnome.
content shown.
editing and saving content.
content is marked as saved and still shown.
closing and opening the file reveals that the content is gone.
it is reproducable on my system.
nothing else is broken, all other editors work fine.
Geany shows no sign of malfunction though, no errocode no entry in the logs.

Geanyversion is 0.18.1 deleting ~/.config/geany isn't solving the problem.

Sounds like a bug in GVfs or its fuse backend.
Try with 'cp' on the command line whether it behaves the same and/or upgrade or downgrade GVfs and/or gvfs-fuse.
For me it works fine on Debian Testing.
