Hello,

Using Scientific Linux 6.5, and Geany 1.22 (can't test with more recent version).

When I have an instance of Geany running, and inadvertently open a new one, the newer one fails to open the "profile" of Geany (opened files, ...) and has "Geany (new instance)" as title.

While this is totally fine to me, I sometimes close them in the wrong order (closing the new instance last) and this has the effect of overwriting this "profile" with an empty one (thus erasing it). It has already happened to me twice today.

I wondered if this is some unwanted behaviour, or if I should get over it and act very cautious on inadvertently opening multiple Geany instances.

Thank you!

Its a known issue. Unfortunately there is no known solution that is reliable, flexible, lightweight and portable.

So this is a duplicate? I haven't found any similar ticket, probably because I don't know how they should be titled.
