Underscores in filenames aren't showing in the "File"->"Recent Files" menu.

Looks like GTK is using underscores as indicators for accelerator keys.

Present in a build of ddf67a8586 from master branch.

    Git 3522e8 works for me and nothing since should change that.

    Geany INFO : GTK 2.24.20, GLib 2.38.1

    What GTK and glib version is Geany using? See help->debug messages line 3.

    Works here too for Gtk3 build. It might just be an issue with padding or margins or something in a particular theme. Does it do that in other GTK+ themes?

    GTK 2.24.20
    GLib 2.38.1

    Ubuntu 13.10

    I've attached an image of what the menu is rendering as.

    Hehe, the Ubuntu global menu thingie… I'm ready to bet it's this thing's fault. Please try to run Geany avoiding this global menu, and see if you still experience the issue:

    $ UBUNTU_MENUPROXY= geany -v

    Without the Ubuntu menu proxy, file names are displaying correctly.

    I suppose this isn't a Geany bug, then?

    No, it's yet another bug of that global Ubuntu menu. You may want to report this to them
