TextFX is a plugin for Notepad++,
It can short and convert text.Importantly,It can short lines unique.
but that only available on M$ os.
How about develop such a plugin for geany?or further,develop a plugin for text processing.

TextFX++ can do a lot of things. Some of them are included in Geany/Scintilla, others are covered by various Geany plugins.
If you need generic text filtering, try Geany Mini-Script, which supports several interpreters.
