Geany 1.22 plugins 1.22 System Puppy Linux Slacko 5.3.3 kernel 3.1.0
Spell checking plug-in seems to be erasing the dictionary files. Very repeatable issue and occurs on pre built and my own compiled versions of Geany and the plugins
when selecting a prompted/underlined word to spellcheck will after correction remove all contents of the associated selected dictionary file en_GB is my current default but also happens with other selected as default .dic files. My current system has the files in ~home.confg/enchant/

    Could you provide more details?
I cannot reproduce the described behaviour.

What exactly means "spellcheck will after correction ..."?

Same (?) issue here: after clicking "add to dictionary" the words are added to <language>.dic file (in case of Win7 this file is in <userdir>\AppData\Roaming\enchant). After closing of Geany, the words are still there. But when I restart Geany, dic file is empty.

I can reproduce the behaviour on Windows 7 but not on Linux.
I can also reproduce this with Abiword on Windows, so it must be a bug in the enchant library which is used by both projects. Unfortunately, we already use enchant 1.5.0 which is the latest version with Windows binaries.
Enchant 1.6.0 exists but I could not find any Windows binaries so far and building it from source is not that easy on Windows.

So, it'd be best to report this issue to the Enchant developers and ask them for a fix + binaries.

Please re-open if you have further information to track down the issue.
