Hello, So good to find out this software, it is very interesting for me. Anyway, when I import the gds file and show the 3D view, it seems that some metal layer was missing, some are in the wrong order. Is there anyway I can modify this or is there some part in the file that i can define some feature? Best regards, Bao
Hi Michiel, i wanted to kindly ask you if you had any thoughts into the cross section feature to be implemented? Is this still on the radar for future improvement ? Thanks, iulian
Hi iulian, When considering the cross section feature it would be useful to apply the thickness of each layer to get a true 3D representation. Having the thickness applied would also give the existing views a more representative view of the silicon build structure, i.e. the thickness would not be just restricted to the cross section view suggested. The thicknesses of each layer could be stored and read from a user config file for the technology process loaded and the user should be given the choice...
Hi Iulian, Great to hear you like it! The software cannot do cross sections, maybe a good idea for future implementation. Thanks Michiel, it is now working. The only problem now is how to rescale the dimension of the green layer(I belive it's the substrate)? my layout is very small compared to the generated green substrate (see attached screenshot)
We encourage you to fork and post on GitHub.
You first make RunLinux.sh executable with chmod +x RunLinux.sh Then you actaully start GDS3D by: ./RunLinux.sh
Vanessa, can you send the console output of GDS3D so I can see which part of the program it crashes?
Looking at your ProcessDef.txt, I see you have tabs in most of the lines. Try to remove the tabs, like in example.txt and try again.
The process layer map codes is attached here. sorry I could't attach them both at ones, not sure why. would you please advise me if the my layer defintion is right?
The process defintion file is attached here
Hi, I translate the attached layer map into a process defintion file as you suggested in the read me file. but when I run the GDS3D, it is always saying that there is no subtrate layer although I added it. Can you help to resolve this? thanks
I've Attached what I got with gdb.
Hi Guys, I've already achieved to install all GDS3D needs, but have the Segmentation fault problem. Any suggestion to solve it? Thanks.
To run the demo in linux, I made: chmod +x RunLinux.sh but nothing appears, is it good? or I need something else? Thanks in advance.
