OK, so gdisk started not allowing me in, as described before. Basically, it says I have no labels. So I tried uninstalling it, downloading the latest version, 0.6.1, and then entering my whole email address, ie, including the @gmail.com bit.

Still no dice.

It just says I have no labels. I have plenty labels, including labels that contain photos of my holidays, and even my anniversary with my wife.

It's never failed me before, hence me trusting it with something so valuable.

Surely this is fixable?

Is it a problem with a gmail update that gdisk is no longer compatible with?

I'd be eternally grateful if anyone has any ideas, me and the missus have only been together a year! (yeah, that's right, I can't get hold of our first anniversary photos...you can imagine the trouble at home!)

Mac iBook G4, OSX 10.4.10, 512MB RAM.

Cheers,

Doof.

Same problem w/ gDisk 0.6.1. For what it's worth, I have the crash log, if I could figure out how to upload it.

Also, if I answer "No" to creating default labels, I get "in" to gDisk, but it still can't see my labels (there are *.gDisk) labels in there, including one created by an earlier gDisk and one created by hand). With gDisk running (but no labels), I can press the New Label button. Entering a label name pressing OK give the following errors in console.log:

    HTTP Error 400: Bad Request
2007-11-20 22:45:15.480 gDisk[5572] Exception raised during posting of notification. Ignored. exception: exceptions.KeyError: 'GMAIL_AT'

Does that help? Can I send the crash log to anyone?

    Thanks!

This is occuring in version 0.5 and 0.6 too, although I'm not sure they're compatible w/ the current GMail setup anyway.

Also, an interesting thing that occured around this same time (Fall of 2007) is that GMail enabled IMAP access for some accounts. Could this be causing this problem, as gDisk must be working for some people?

same problem here. seems like all the projects involved with gmail and a storage are not actively developed anymore since google offers its own storage.
