I'd try it twice and then give up, because frustration is no longer something I consider entertaining :-) (I actually tried general Raam about 50 times at the end of Gears 1, read all the walk-throughs, and *still* couldn't get him. I even tried it in co-op with said 11-year-old. Shame on Epic for balancing it so poorly!)
