I downloaded the 3.2.0.1 code that was released 9/4. I am not sure if it is my system but I can't find a way to create a new character when first opening the program. It initially comes up with an Open dialog box but there is no option for New Character/Template/etc like there was with the non-Swing version. Was this left out intentionally or is my system not doing as it should? Having to open an existing character in order to create a new one seems a bit on the backward side of things. How would you create a new character if you had no existing characters? Definitely non-intuitive to open a racial or other template to get the menu to create a new character.

Just hit the 'Cancel' button and you'll get a new character sheet.  There is no facility for adding custom controls the native open file dialog, so I don't have much choice there.  I could instead use the Swing file dialog, but that is throughly non-native and is lacking in many ways.  The only other choice would be to return to my custom toolkit version of the file dialog -- its not native, either, but it at least behaved the way I preferred.
