Hello, as the subject says, the gChartman source code now resides in a SourceForge cvs repository. To get the code from cvs, visit gChartman's SourceForge page, click the "CVS" link and follow the instructions. The module name is gchartman. Have Fun, Christian Glodt |

gChartman 0.1.2 has been released. Since SourceForge is moving to a new location there is some trouble with ssh and the website has not been updated yet. New stuff: - Indicators are now stackable. An indicator can be applied to the `output' of another indicator. - Chart configuration data is now saved in XML files, located in ~/.gchartman. This is a somewhat intermediary. Expect more changes concerning the storage of configurations. Please read the README, there are some changes concerning videotext quote capturing. Status Report ------------- There has not been much news for some time now, but that does not mean that no development is going on. Currently 2 major changes are being done. First, chart modules are now becoming `stackable'. An example for this feature would be a moving average of a momentum indicator. The second big change is that configuration data is being phased out of the database. Instead it will now be put into XML files. In a first phase the chart configurations are moved out, afterwards videotext, categories, trading time, comments and any other configuration data. The next release should (hopefully) be ready within 2 weeks. Christian Glodt |

gChartman 0.1.1 has been released (yesterday). Since I had some trouble with ssh, I could not update the website yet, so you need to download it from the SourceForge project page. The website will be updated ASAP. A freshmeat announcement will also follow. New stuff: - Bugfixes (much more stable). - Added stock splitting feature (use toolbar button in chart window). - The `Channel' module is now activated. It was already contained in the last release, but I had disabled it because it was too buggy. It also has scaling issues. - A desktop entry is now created in the `Applications' branch of the Gnome menu. There's no icon yet. - Added 2 new configure options: --disable-debug and --enable-optimization - A new script has been added (scripts/swgetstock). It downloads data of german stocks (anything that has a WKN) from www.stockwatch.de and creates an sql script (see scripts/README).
