GCC 3.2.3 MVS 7.0 released

A new version of the GCC compiler for MVS and CMS was recently uploaded. Also, the products normally compiled using it have been uploaded. This version has all the known compiler bugs eliminated, so is the first version that is C90 compliant.

GCC 3.2.3 MVS 6.0 released

A new version of the GCC compiler is available for both MVS and CMS. It now provides for automatic linking. It comes in XMIT format for z/OS users and AWS tape for z/VM users. In addition, a whole lot of products (e.g. DIFFUTILS) have also been updated to use the new compiler and are also available here.

GCC 3.2.3 MVS 5.0 released

plus a stack of other tools. see the download area. There was a 4.0 release previously but the lazy buggers who run this website didn't bother to update the news.

GCC 3.2.3 MVS 3.0 released

After much unexpected delay, we finally have a new release of GCCMVS. There have been very significant internal changes. It is now a quite different product. At time of writing, just the source code you need has been released. However, prebuilt executables and other stuff are expected to be added to this release as they are generated. Enjoy! :-)

Welcome to GCCMVS

GCCMVS has been available since 2004-03-17, and I am now about to move it to sourceforge, including the old releases. There's probably not much point downloading any of the releases at the moment, because we're on the verge of releasing a much nicer version. It should only be 2 months away. It could even be 2 weeks, it depends on whether we fix some bugs which are actually optional to fix. They're still being looked at, so we don't know whether they are fixable in a reasonable timeframe or not.
