I think, Gccg is now stable enough to establish some organized
activity. Since tournaments take much time in Metw, my proposal is that we arrange small leagues (4-6 players?) where each player plays one game against each other. Players are free to choose when to play their game. Any suggestions and ideas are welcome.
Good prices for all! :)
How about one card of his/her choice to 6th, 2 for 5th, ..., and 6 card for winner?
2-deck general opponent is acceptable format?

It's a really good Idea! But I need some time to remember the rules of METW. About 2 years since I played the last game. And about 6 years since I played often.

Hmm, i thought again and found some ideas. Many metw players have forgot the rules including myself. Just learned the rules lately during gccg development. So, i propose that we drop competitive attitude (at least for start). Let's play league, but
- Of course, no price charged as an entry fee.
- Let's say 6-player leagues with time limit (month? 2 months?)
- Players try to arrange their games and play as many games as they can. If both players does not feel that they need help on rules, just ask some one to watch over their game.
- We count points and just publish league result (Council of Lorien rules i guess).
- Prizes: 1 card of his/her choice per game played!! No matter what is player's final position.

Great idea! Can the server automatically award cards or does it have to be done manually by the admin?
I'd love to join. It must be noted that I am on the west coast in the US, so I'm not sure if my online time will coincide very well with others' times.

Server does not do this kind of things yet, since these are reasonable easy to arranged manually. I suppose that time zone differences are not a big problem. At least during weekends i think that online times can be arranged.
My initial plan is to give two week time limit x number of players. That should allow to play games without hurry. And this is not serious after all if some pair(s) cannot play at all.
I'll start the league tomorrow. We have enough players, but i can't see any reasons why not allow anyone join it later (up to some limit). We just add two weeks to time limit per new player.

Eh, can't find any option to edit my messages, except delete. Well, remove "not" from 3rd list entry.
