Interesting video but you always make it seem more difficult to use than gcb really is.
The original ide was ok but crashed. The studio ide does not crash.
You may say if you can do a better job then do it , that would be fair and if you want I will and make a users view of gcb for arduino and nano because nice hardware to play with. Yes, pics are relevant but gcb mega328 and lgt328 is well supported and easy to use boards that cover all gcb stuff.
The com port set up and finding device from windows settings, 3 options. only one is correct ,feeling licky pic? make my dairy.
Not really. I found usb uno/nano on gcb to be brill and gcstudio the way to use, sorry Frank.
It seems strange you have posted this when it is all sorted. ie by default I use gcs and it all works.
on arduino or lgt, I have not used pickit or pics for years.

This issue is... education everyone not to edit the batch files (this was the practice for over ten years) and there are many, many posts on editing batch files.
As you know. There is NO rational to edit a batch file. The ini file passed to the compiler can do all the hard work.
So, the video is the way to do it. Education for new users and old users.

For a video of setting up an UNO with Great Cow BASIC
It is best to expand the video to full screen.
Enjoy
