I installed RC38 and chipData files for these are now in the folder. However, they do not appear in PICinfo. Is there a place to get an updated chipdata.def ?

Resolved. The issue was a user installation error. No fault found
ust added the 18FxxQ40 series. This is ONLY supported in v0.98.07 release 38 or greater.
I will post more to this thread on demos and programming, but, Great Cow BASIC now supports
PIC18F04Q40
PIC18F05Q40
PIC18F06Q40
PIC18F14Q40
PIC18F15Q40
PIC18F16Q40

Execute the batch file 'testallchips.bat' in the GreatCowBASIC folder, wait for it to complete. Then, try.
Did that and still no Q40's in PICINFO
Disregard. All is OK. When I updated to RC38 I did not copy the correct ChipData Folder over to my installation
I guessed that was the case. The build process automatically updated chipdef.dat.

Hi,
warning - new user here, so I'm likely doing something wrong!
I installed RC38 and I don't see any datafiles for the Q40 family in the chipdata folder.
The file I installed was https://sourceforge.net/projects/gcbasic/files/Release%20Candidates/GCB_Installer-v0.98.07%20RC38.exe
Is there something else I need to do to get the Q40 files?
I will repost the release. Q40 are not in the release.
Sorry!!
I have a new RC38 with the Q40s
