FreeBasic 1.10 brought about some breaking changes. After looking through the forums and docs, I found and fixed them. I also fixed the capitalization error in the Linux install script and double checked that my changes didn't break anything with FreeBasic 1.07.

Sorry for coming in out of the blue. I just love GC Basic and want to do what I can to help.

    Thank you.

Is this script based on the very latest Linux release?

    I don't think it is.

Could you post a complete script? A complete script makes the change safer for here.

I did an apt update today. I'm running bullseye on aarch64. It's not actually a script, it's a patch file. I know a little archaic, The only other option would be to upload the modified gcbasic.bas and install.sh files. The latter isn't so bad, but the former is huge.

Hopefully these aren't too large to upload

Thanks, I have patched .BAS. I will replace the .sh.

I will run all the tests today on the compiler. :-)

      Thanks for helping!

You really don't need to replace the whole .sh. there is only one line that is affected. the only problem is that Linux file systems are case sensitive

          All merged/replaced with your changes.

I will update the Linux distribution asap.

And, I have run all the tests on the updated compiled. All tests passed.

          Thank you!

              Brilliant.

Would you post a specific thread for the Pi?

Do you want a copy of PICKitPlus for Pi?

I would be a happy to do a how to install on raspberry pi thread. Where should I put it?

I am using the GPIO headers directly to program the pic so I don't have a PICKit, but thank you for the offer.

Ok. It would be a lot easier to explain how to program with PICkitPlus, and, it is a utility that programs all PICs. You don't need a PICKit.
