I have updated PICINFO to improved access to the correct datasheet.
Microchip have helped with this solution. Many months ago... June 2023. I asked Microchip to provide me a reliable source for datasheets staring the URL to the datasheets had moved three times in the last year and it was very poor for us not to able to directly access the datasheets.
And, for those using MPLAB-X ... access to datasheets also went wrong.
So, after working with them we have defined a format for data source files that PICINFO and MPLAB-X can use reliably.
The next version of PICNFO, version 2.90s, will use the new data source. AND, we can also add datasheet access to GC CODE. So, from the two key applications you will be able to access the datasheets.
Enjoy! I will.. as hunting for datasheets will be a lot easier.

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
The latest build of PICINFO 2.90 now has a new feature.
In the Help you could always select PICs supported by GCBASIC. Well, now will get asked if you want the chips NOT supported by GCBASIC.
When you get this new build you will only see this. Which means GCBASIC supports all 8-bit PICs currently released by Microchip. The one shown in the list are 'ghost PICs' where Microchip have an error in the data source they provide. I have added some comments below but these comments are not in the real application.

The following chips are being added to GCBASIC.
I am awating chips from Microchip.
