My name is Dilshan Jayakody and I am happy to announce new IDE for GCBasic compiler. This new compiler is still in Beta stages and both installer and source codes (based on Delphi 7) are available to download at http://sourceforge.net/projects/prithvi.
This IDE is developed only for GCBasic and support most of the features of GCBasic. Our objective on this project is to build complete, easy to use IDE for GCBasic compiler.
Thanks.

The interface looks good and brilliant! I will download it and check it out. --> Great contribution to the growing excellent Great Cow Basic. I may do a port of it to Free-Pascal/Lazarus since I use that environment very well.
Once again - WELL_DONE!!!
God blesses!!!
Best regards,
Sanyaade

I have downloaded and complied Basic code
using update version of GCbasic . It produces only asm and hex file but there is no .lst file to check memory uses. How can we configure for that ?

You can use gputils instead of built-in Assembler.

In the MAKEASM.BAT file, open up in notepad, then delete the /l- option, as this prevents linker file generation. You can then open up the linker file in notepad to get the relevant line numbers, words used etc.

Dilshan Jayakody please continue developing this project. You have done an amazing job. For the past weeks I've been working with GCBasic and using Crimson as the editor, but yours provides a much more integrated and professional feel even though its only partially complete. Unfortunately, I notice that its been some time since there has been any updates. Do you have the time?

PS only problem currently is it comes with GCBasic as part of the installation package which is out of date. If you do continue project please try to introduce Option/GCBasic path and leave GCBasic as separate for the user to install.

I got some problems with my ISP and I have no internet (ADSL) in past few months.
Thanks for the support and comments about Prithvi Development Studio.
I had some problems with this project because of lack of support from the community. If anyone like to join with the project please make me some request. If I got some support we can continue this project.

Nice to hear your voice again and welcome back. I am intrerested in your IDE. In order not to make the development stall along the line, it will be better if the IDE can be ported to Lazarus/Free Pascal environment which are opensource Delphi/Pascal compatible or clone. I made an attempt but not successiful due to some uses of VCL which I could not find or port. Using Borland specific tools ties you down to non-portable resources.
Let me know what you think?
God blesses!!!

Hello,
Thanks every one for giving me some information about linker and use of gputils,
This question is using Prithvi IDE, How can I generate .lst file using Prithvi IDE ?
Regards,
Deepak.
