Per the instructions in the help file, a .hex file should be created during the compile.  All I can find is an .ASM file located in the directory with my project.  I read in another thread that the .hex file should be in the gcbasic folder but I can't find it.

If no .hex file in your C:\Program Files\GCBASIC\
      folder after a successful compile?

I would look at the compile.bat file make sure its default.
Or reinstall GCB and do the update.zip updates again.

      What OS are you running?

      I'm running windos 2000.

I'll try uninstalling and re-install again.

I have un-installed and re-installed gcb 9.30 and the latest update.  Same problem.

Are you using GCBIDE or just doing the drag&drop on the compile.bat file?
I will run this on a W2000 box I have here and see if I can recreate the issue.

I have simulated your probelm and I also cannot get a .hex to create in Windows 2000. Standard install, admin rights. We will need some guiadance from Hugh on this one.
It compiles no errors, but no hex on the entire drive.

I'm happy to see it's just me.

I can put it on my laptop which is XP.

But I would like it to work on my workshop computer.

I tried using GCBIDE and it works fine.  I won't worry about the drag and drop method.  Consider the problem solved as far as I am concerned.
