GCBASIC doesn't always behave when installed somewhere other than C:\Program Files\GCBASIC. This message means it's looking for the messages.dat file, but can't find it.

I will deal with this issue when I can, but that mightn't be for a week or so. If you put everything into C:\Program Files\GCBASIC (including GCBIDE) everything should work.

The hex file isn't being generated here, because GCBASIC is exiting before even starting to compile. Generally if there is an error from GCBASIC, it means that the hex file has not been produced.
