Hello,
it seems to be a common problem with GCB and Windows XP SP3:
When I try to install GCB the installer says at the very end: "Unable to execute file: c:\>my documents folder<\mkcompil.exe CreateProcess failed: code 5 access denied"
So I tried to start it directly from this folder, and WIN sais something like: Unable to execute, 'cause I don't have the proper rights to do so. But I am logged in as admin.
What can I do? Is the installer buggy?
Without this program i am not able to get the "compile.bat" file to compile my GCBASIC files…
Pls. Help.

Funny, compiling code with great cow graphical basic works. How is this possible?
Mkay, here's the solution (after several hours of trial and error):
I use XP-Antispy. The program denied the access to 16-bit applications.
So: Uncheck this item, install GCBASIC, and check this option after installation. There you go.
