The links to the latest build files seem to have gotten lost. These are the ones labled:
"update.zip, which includes all files changed since the last release.
"update-nochipdata.zip which includes all files changed since the last release, except for the chip data files.

I think that GCB@Syn uses "GCASM", the assembler built in to GCBASIC? It's not quite as powerful as MPASM or gputils, but it can handle everything that comes out of GCBASIC and supports AVRs as well.

Yes. It's been a part of GCBASIC since early 2007, and Great Cow Graphical BASIC has always used it. It seemed like the neatest way to support both PIC and AVR, and cleaned up the installation directory quite a bit.

Works great. And that makes sense.
I had thought different assemblers were used but since I focus on PICs I never looked deeper into the AVR side of things.
Another great example of your talent. Thanks.

Hi Joe,
Pleas post the link you are using to download. Post the link of the source web page, and the download URL's.
Thank you.
Those links can be found on the "Download" page.
He is referring to the "Latest GCBASIC Build" page which lists those files but they aren't links.
Which assembler is included with the SYN@GCB install, GPUTILS or MPASM?
Yes, this is what I'm referring to. They used to be links. How can I download the latest build?
Joe
At the link just above it titled "Download".
Links (hopefully) fixed! http://gcbasic.sourceforge.net/update.html

Did you create GCASM?

Getting back on topic.....
I'm on the "Great Cow Updates" page. There are no links at all.
