    Hi i would like to use this device and i see it is supported by GCB but not Pickkit 2 can someone tell me how th add this to it thanks in advance Ed.

    The newest PK2 device file from GCB@Syn/Pickit2GUI should have the PIC12f1572. If you are not using that folder, then just copy it over to the Program Files(x86)/Microchip/Pickit2? folder after renaming the old device file.

    If you want to add even more devices, then consider supporting the PK2+/PK3+ project started by Anobium.

    There's a few links on Microchip's forum explaining how to add this part to the standalone PICkit2 software.

    However, the easiest option would be to support Anobium's PICkit 2 (3) Plus standalone software which covers many new parts (and not just data file updates, but new scripts for the new PIC families).

    I can confirm the 12F1572 works with the old GUI PICkit software and the parts database from here - https://sourceforge.net/projects/pickit3plus/
