Just downloaded and installed the newest (5-24-14) version of GCB@Syn, in this directory: C:\PIC. I can compile any .gcb file without a problem, but when I try to generate the .hex file from the corresponding .asm file, I always get the same error- "Error: Chip model not specified! GCBASIC cannot continue". I do not have this problem when using an older IDE (Crimson Editor). Any help would be appreciated.

Just noted that if I just click on the hex icon and not separately generate an .asm file first, it then generates both the .asm and .hex files without problem.
