Looking at the 16f1704 for a possible project. Is the problem with the compiling of GCB?, chipdata?, or libraries? I have used the 1783 as a datalogger with no problem.

I have some 16F1705 SOIC package but they are already mounted. Should be some not mounted but I haven't found the tube yet.

Resolved.
I received a chip from Microchip. So, I was able to test and resolve the issue.
The PICKitPlus chip database has been updated to fix this issue. The root cause was a page write error in terms of the script and the page size.
The R213 (or later) revision of the PICKitPlus is required to support the PIC16f1703.
