Just a comment. Would it be possible when GCStudio auto updates to show From version To version whilst updating. Also ask whether user would like to go ahead with the update.

I can show the "from version to version" will be on next release (you will see it in action until the next update after that)
for a faster update process without user intervention, the update is applied when it is downloaded, but you can skip the update by pressing the "X" while downloading the update, the download will be canceled, GCstudio will continue normally and the update will be retried at the next launch.
As GCstudio it's a continuous integration system, it's best for the end users to stay up to date for a consistent installation in respect to the developers changes. (as the support provided on the forum will be based on the latest changes)

The reason for delaying any update, my main PC updated automatically. Assuming all OK,
update one of projects 18F4525, the usart.h had a bug where the wrong baud rate was selected.
Now resolved with your latest release. I then had to revert to a non GCStudio version.
Good to know their is a get out clause for the auto update.
