Just a few hints for upcoming and current Linux Users.
I do not intend to force anyone to Linux, but when you already using Linux on a daily base, these Hints are not for you.
In the current state the native Linux GreatCowBASIC build is for me 10 times faster for Compile and generating Hex File.
But sometime even I using wine. Included in the Windows Great Cow BASIC suite are some important Tools. PPS TOOL.exe is one of the most important ones.
This Tool is working with the out of the Box wine in Linux Debian Stretch, but not absolutly fine. Do yourself a favour and install wine.2.0.3 (or newer) from winehq.
After that the IDE and the PPS TOOL is working very smooth. The Compiletime is not faster, but at least it looks correct and it is usable.
An extra Hint. I do use a Laptop with full HD display, But as I'm using HUGE eye glasses, all is very small. The main Problem is solved with winecfg. Go to Grafik and put the slider a bit in your desired direction
