how does one install the software for the K150 programmer please ?
The manual is in English, and the pc shows only dutch terms.
I never used a pc with dutch terms, so I cannot understand what to click where.
Some examples that I cannot find on the pc: "Properties", "Hardware tab", "Device Manager.
How can I find what I need, because all those terms are not on the pc.
Maybe I better make a list of all unavailable terms:
Properties
Hardware tab
Device manager
Ports (COM & LPT)
Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port
I don't know what these terms are on a dutch machine.
Many thanks in advance !
Eddie

@Anobium
Yes I have searched the internet, but all is English.
I don't know which dutch words are compatible.
I never had a dutch pc, and also never had windos before.
@jackjames
But I don't have such an adapter, the programmes has a USB-port
and is connected to the USB-port on the pc.
Thanks !

Do you have genuine K150 or if it cheap Chinese clone from eBay?
The one that I bought was clone and i had to try 10 or so different versions of the micro pro software before i found one that worked with my programmer.

Thanks for info.
Well, I found it on Ebay, never heard of it before, so I have not heard about "clone"
at that moment.
But I found that the original is not sold anymore.
What software do you have ?
Do you have a link ?
And the doc sais also that you have to program a new PIC for the programmer first,
but does that work when there is a wrong pic in the programmer ?
Many thanks !
Eddie

If you bought it from eBay it is probably a clone. It will still work but you have to find the correct software. Did the eBay seller send you a CD or a link to download the software?
Anobium's link is useful - it has lots of guides, videos etc. explaining what to do.
I think the K150 was originally sold as a kit, or you built it yourself from a schematic. The K150 includes a PIC on the circuit board as part of the programmer so if you built the whole thing yourself you would need to program the PIC, to use the programmer....
However if you buy an assembled programmer the PIC is already programmed and you do not need to do this.
When I got mine I just plugged it in, downloaded the MicroPro.exe / Microbrn.exe software, selected the COM port (the Prolific driver was already installed on my PC) and it worked.

ok Thanks
Yes, I have bought it ready built.
But in the video it says that you need to program a new pic first.
I am completely new to pics, and never used windos before, so very difficult
to find what to click, because the shown words are not on my pc.
ok, I hope it still works although the reset fails, I'll try to make something
in the next days. Must get some help to clean the room. I cannot bend.
I'm handycappd.

@Eddie.
Have searched the Internet? There is a lot of great information.
Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port is te adapter from USB to serial RS232 TTL levels.

@Eddie Play nice.
??? Whats wrong ?
If there is anything to comment, than say it.
There is no "properties" or "Device manager" on that pc of mine
How can I click on that than ?
Reset always fails even after the 4th time starting
So the whole thing is not usable
