I'd like to introduce to everyone a new program I've been working on for the past 6 months. It's called Great Cow Graphical BASIC, and is an icon-based GUI built on top of GCBASIC. There are some screenshots temporarily located at http://gcbasic.sourceforge.net/temp/ .
It's not yet ready, but I hope to have a site set up for it within a month or two.
Unlike GCBASIC, this new program will probably not be open source. I intend to make it available free for personal, non-commercial use, but I will be asking any schools or companies who wish to use it to purchase licenses.
I would like to make it completely clear that this will have no negative impact on GCBASIC - GCBASIC always has, and always will be open source, GNU GPL freeware. GCBASIC support and development will continue, plus I'll have more motivation to add new features to GCBASIC.
Ideally, I'd like to include all of the GCBASIC .h files with GCGB. However, some of the code in these files has been written by other people and I don't want to steal anyone else's work. I'd appreciate it if anyone who has submitted code to GCBASIC could send me an email saying whether or not I can include their code in GCGB.
Any comments are most welcome.
