I got a reprap pruso i3 3d printer arriving wed..kit £85.
youtube assembly guide refers to arduino board.
do pics/arduino have any relevence to 3d printer use?
there's a 3d touch auto leveller for £12 that uses an atiny
Any gcb users have 3d printer and used gcb to ..whatever?

I have a YouTube Channel mostly dedicated to 3D printing. Just go to FilamentFriday.com
Most 3D printers run Marlin firmware which is based on Arduino code.
Most run a 2560 Arduino Mega or custom 2560 board.
I don't know of any GCB based printers.
Marlin firmware has autolevel built in if enabled for many of the popular auto level sensors.
At that price, is your printer Acrylic frame?
It's probably an Anet A8 or similar.

I was thinking of your gcb/arduino speed comparison and relevence to 3d printers.
It's totally new to me but I have a build guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBHIVRri-HI
incase the instructions are vague.
I'm making a robot and 3d printed parts look useful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CJXz_YEumg
I'll be checking FilamentFriday.com
I notice the slicer software might need some arduino software and java..we'll see when it arrives.
Cheers
ps.. it's wood :( ...not everything, the rest is 3d printed parts. not printed on this printer I hope.
interesting mega2560 used and not a pic

I built the thing in an evening but was amazed it homed on lcd command.
I have to tweak it and software is new. The cd software didn't run as spyware detected.
I used the hardware lcd option to print from sd card for 1st try. Always pessimistic, amazed it worked at all!
Some 3d printer software asks to install arduino drivers.Hope it don,t mess up the ones I use with gcb. https://youtu.be/SZp6Dw01q7E

Looks like you got the rubber hose couplings as well not the metal couplings. That printed better than mine as my extruder didn't work. If you just print from the SD card you never need to install Arduino drivers. It's only for updating the firmware or running it directly from the computer. Have fun.

Cheers Chuck. I 'm over the moon with my kit building abilities. I was expecting smoke..honest.
I was worried it would mess my gcb up..as I use windows.

I have a Prusa i3 Einstein variant, that has served me well for years, but recently Aldi were selling a wanhao replica really cheap, so I couldnt resist. Both really good machines.

I reviewed that printer about a year ago.
