I have a Atmel-ICE Debugger but not "really serious" knowledge!
But if I can help debugging with it, no problem.
Question though, is the Atmel-ICE Debugger selectable in the GCB programmers list and does it work (serial) with the GCB terminal viewer?
This because there was a recent similar discussion in the forum here.

I found you can not flash 328 if the gcb terminal is open.
programmer reports -1 error.
I doubt it's relevant but easy to do ie minimise terminal and forget then try flashing code.

This is a call for folks with serious knowledge of AVR ASM.
Needed to help us resolve an ASM issue in the compiler. Probably going to have in-depth knowledge Atmel Studio / debugger.
If you can help. Post here.
Thank you.

Re the Atmel-ICE Debugger. If there is a command line utility and it works at the command line. You can add to the Programmer Preferences.
