Hello ... This system is dedicated to Arduino, Microchip resells it but offers an open API, written ... in C ! Did anybody already find the detailled communication protocol, so it could be adapted to our favourite language ? It seems that the communication is serial. Thanks in advance ...
And I found this module : https://www.kittenbot.cc/products/kittenbot-sugar-series-automatic-speech-recognition-module
Too good to be real ! I contacted Kittenbot concerning the recognition speed, 4 days later I got no answer (maybe this is the annoying question ? ) ; Pimoroni is a reseller for Kittenbot but I didn't see this device, and found no mail address to contact them ...

Meanwhile I found this manual : http://www.audeme.com/uploads/4/3/9/9/43997575/movi1.1usersmanual.pdf
Look at page 20 : such considerations make me suspicious. In the past I tested (and paid for) 6 different modules ; none worked in a for me satisfying way. This time I can say that I tested the seventh without paying (about 85 Euros) ... :)
In fact there is another module demo on YouTube : about 120 Euros + 30 for the configuration software (more than 200 Euros for the complete system) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVp7rYuUo_U (in German)
There the joke is even better : it fails already in the video ; the operator has to repeat the same word twice to get it recognized, "Einschalten" at 8:38 and again at 8:57, it seems not to be a safety feature if I listen to the way he speaks it for the second time !
So, for module number 8 ... :)

Hi Bertrand, it is not like in Star trek . Light on. light off. Would light be the same and if recognised then on/off would be needed if it was just for light on or off.

Finally I found Pimoroni's address, well hidden on their forum page : support@pimoroni.com (rather standard, support, info or contact at ... ). They answered that they were not selling the device but "but will pass the suggestion on to our purchasing manager" ; maybe that they can get more informations from Kittenbot ? In fact, if this works correctly (i.e. if there is not enough time to drink Your coffee between the command and the response ... :) ), it would be, in conjunction with a control board, a real competitive product (and offline) for all Alexa's and others !
