Backdoor.Win32.Raid.cl Found!!

    Hi!
    Installing GCBIDEInstall20.exe Kaspersky AV says that Backdoor.Win32.Raid.cl worm is present in the file : GCBIDE\is-DBCH9.tmp

    PLEASE FIX IT!!!

      Hopefully this is a false positive, but I wouldn't like to bet on it and have now removed the installer for GCBIDE from this site until we can work out what has happened.

      Someone else has emailed me, to say that Avira anti-virus has also found the same virus.

      What version of Windows are you using? XP? Also, what exact address did you download the installer from?

      Symantec.com says that the virus is only loaded when the infected file is run, and that it doesn't load automatically when the PC starts up. They also say that the virus listens on port 5000 of the computer, but even after running GCBIDE there is nothing on my PC running on this port. You can check what is running on your PC by going to a command prompt, and typing "netstat -a". Look in the "Local Address" column for anything ending in :5000, and please let me know if you see anything.
