Auto Updates with SynWrite working as the legacy GCB
If you want to use GCstudio in the same way the old GCB works, just change the editor to "synwrite" on the settings panel add the "/syn" switch at the end of the destination on the GCstudio desktop shortcut properties, it will launch synwrite directly (without the GCstudio UI) but retaining the auto update capability.
Legacy Operating Systems
Windows 7
If you have Windows 7 : Service Pack 1 is REQUIRED with at least the following updates:KB4474419, KB2999226.
Minimum screen resolution of 1024x768
Windows XP, Vista or older
Older operating systems than Windows 7 are not supported by GC Studio, but you can still enjoy Great Cow Basic by downloading the legacy installer from Here, and patch the installation with ALL the files from this patch file (this will generate a Zip patch file with the latest release Tool-Chain used on GC Studio, might take a minute, wait for it...) [Bumpy Road Ahead: This is given as a "Best Effort", support may be limited.]

GC Code now properly handles errors in include and system files
GC Code now shows errors within include and the system include files in the 'PROBLEMS' tab shown post compilation. You can now select the errant file and the file will open with GC Code at the error line.
This will aid the development process and will enable developers to access the errant source file with ease.
Previously, the errant file was not open ( same isssue in SynWrite ) and the user had no idea where to locate the errant file.

Keep the secret...
GC Studio is the name or our full suite, but also is the main executable (GCstudio.exe) and UI that manages all the Tool-Chain, IDE's and Updates.
GC Code is the new IDE and code editor for GC Studio. The editor will evolve to meet new needs and we can add functionality to improve usability.
This thread will share secrets and changes to GC Studio and GC Code.
