after downloading the latest hot version of GCB and unzipping the files into their own folder
when I run the IDE program, AVG reports it as a virus/ threat and deletes it, should I believe that IDE program is a threat ??

Morning. No should not be a threat. We worked with AVG to ensure the distribution was clean. I put this information in the release note for the distribution.
Please ensure you have the latest virus update.
If the message persists please take a screen shot, the AVG error log and any other key information, like the source errant file. Please zip up and attach to a response post. I will then contact my AVG support contact.

Hi Evan,
AVG gave me a warning regarding GCB the other day also.
I have added GCB as a virus exception for the time being.
It reported unknown error.

A good workaround. I have submitted a new case to AVAST today.
AVAST have confirmed no virus found. Record - False alert (# FRV-584-69893)
I am awaiting a response from AVG.
