me-Well I downloaded gcb linux and extracted but no ide just chip data, demos, include etc.
Not a clue what to do next and would it program a uno or work with pickit 2/3?
so how to get gcb to work in linux mint 19.2
answer-Interesting and valid question and worthy of a new thread.
May I suggest you start a topic with that question rather than leave it here in an all but exhausted thread? We have several Linux Users and as much as I dislike MPLabX there is a linux version that includes the IPE so a discussion of integrating GCBASIC with MPLAB on LINUX Mint could be enlightening to many.
We may even be saved by a suggestion of an alternative IDE and some LINUX PICKit Drivers.
I couldn't get gcb to work with a rpi but I'm not the brightest crayon in the box.
I've tried linux and it uses apt get not ppa.
Do I need to install the gcb ide?
It seems gcb is reliant on win not mac os or linux. It's only out of interest. I've found the same mint live usb works different on different pc's.
