The amazing thing about this usb host module is that it gives you a simple serial interface to work with, so depending on the firmware installed on the host module, you can easily communicate with almost any usb device exists! ;-)

My ebay £80 3d printers come with avr 8 bit controller boards. I am amazed they work ok.
The boards have usb but it does not work. I have to flash a sd card and insert it into the 3d printer for it to print a file.
I do not think gcb wuld be much use to 3d printer owners.

I'd like to make a USB Host that can control a 3D printer from a PIC by serially sending GCodes and receiving data back.
I have not seen a project using this adapater.
I have. It's a usb joystick/gamepad adapter for old 9pin gameport like the one equipped on amiga, atari st, c64 etc. You can find the details here:
