#15 Will not be able to run on Motorola Phones
On Motorola phones MIDlets need to be signed to be able to do what you want them to do. Unfortunately you can't use a Verisign certificate, only a Motorola one will work. See the following urls at http://motocoder.custhelp.com/ (I used tiny url to shorten the very long urls)

So as long as the gcalsync program is not signed by motorola it will not work on mototrola phones :(

Our handsets do not support Thwarte or VeriSign Certificates.
The only security domains currently supported are:
1. Motorola root Certificates.
2. Operator root Certificates.
3. Java Verified UTI Certificate
4. Untrusted
Only options 1, 2, and 3 will give access to protected APIs such as JSR75.
In order to obtain Motorola Manufacturing domain Certification you must obtain an NDA and be sponsored by someone in the business development team within Motorola.
If you want your midlet signed by an operator/carrier. You would need to contact them for details.
